THE RENOVATION FOR THE 4TH STAR

BIOHOTEL

Since 1973, the hotel has been renewed several times, but in small doses.

In March 2015, me and my brother Lorenzo decided to embark on a challenging and exciting project to renew the interiors of the building, to make it a modern and high standard 4stars Hotel.

Fighting and working against time, we managed to open the doors to our guests for the winter season of 2015-2016; we have now 4 fully renovated floors with 18 characteristic, spacious rooms, suites and 1 apartment. All accommodations have a panoramic view on either the town historical centre of Magnifica Comunità palace or on the Dolomiti mountain chain that, at dusk, treat the viewers with astonishing pink nuances.

We have renewed the original frescoes paintings on the main façade that had been long covered by layers of plaster; we can now see the old heraldic emblem of the Cazzano family, first notary dynasty from Cavalese in early ‘500s.
At the same time, we have restored and embellished the external walls, giving it back its original appearance with marmoreal finishing, characteristic feature of ‘500s.

ECO-SUSTAINABILITY AND COMFORT

In the modernization, we have used the best eco-compatible materials: raw clay walls for a correct and energy saving thermostatic temperature control, and vast use of local wood of white and red spruce pine.

In order to guarantee highest levels of comfort, with optimal internal temperature as well as noise insulation, we have used innovative wood-fiber panels locally produced. This system not only represents a sustainable alternative – for us very important- but is also considered to be a far more efficient and high quality method compared to the traditional insulation systems.

The use of ecological and high quality materials that insure best practice in the bio-construction space as well as energy savings, allowed us to obtain energy efficiency Class A certificate.

Additionally, we have renewed public facilities of hall, bar, and restaurant. Our Chef is looking forward tempting you with his gourmet cuisine, with vast choice of dishes – local and international – to treat every palate. We aim for authentic, traditional yet modern and simple tastes, reflecting our family customs that have always supported our business and lifestyle.

So, we have changed a lot, but we guarantee the same level of hospitality, family environment, and professionalism that we had since we opened our doors the first time, to make you feel at home away from home.
